Title: Inventory and Production Management System for New Timothy Studio (Gampaha)

Abstract: New Timothy Studio is popular photo studio for any types of photography and wedding packages in Gampaha area from 1992. Except above mention services today they sell studio and multimedia items such as cameras, camera batteries, photo frames, web cameras, head sets and etc. Still they use manual system to manage their day-to-day activities. It is very heard to manage large number of record books. They manage number of various types of bills for various types of photo orders and considering about this tedious task, data redundancy has become the main problem in their manual system. Proposed system will automate their day today activities like manage customer orders such as photo orders, wedding orders, as well as issuing bills for sale, and manage stock. Not only above mentioned functional requirement, but most of the nonfunctional requirement listed below are satisfied by the proposed system. Speed of the transaction, security of the system and transaction are the critical nonfunctional requirement of the system. This system will provide user privilege management for helping management of Timothy. Furthermore this system will provide various types of report generation facility for operational level users, management as well. Proposed system follows Model View Controller (MVC) architecture and C# is used as programming language with object oriented design principles. RUP is the design model used for this system. This windows based application is going to be developed using technology known as Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is used as Data Base Management System and Visual Studio 2012 with Blend is used as Integrated Development Environment (IDE). This Inventory and Production Management system has been design to full fill not only functional requirement but also nonfunctional requirement of users. As well as this system will help form cashier up to management to work efficiently and without any obstacles which busy working periods.
