Title: Pharmacy Management System for Sahanro Pharmacy

Abstract: Sahanro is a leading pharmacy based its principal sales centre in Ambalangoda. As a result of the rapid increase of sales of pharmaceutical items owing to the trust and confidence and placed on them by the consumers for selling the required items in accordance with the need of their customers in Generic Names as well as Trade Names of medicines. Sahanro Pharmacy identified the need of an effective method to handle its Pharmacopoeias (inventories) and Sales which functioned as a manual system. With the experience of usage of this system, it was found that it has led to errors and mismatches in sales management ,inventory control management and especially in handling and directing employees in their day to day tasks. Taking in to consideration of the situations and based on the requests of the clients, the system developer was given the opportunity to institute a project to improve the standards, accuracy , reliability ,efficiency quality of handling sales, inventory and stock handling management of the organization. Mainly the system could be divided into set of sub systems such as login system, stock handling system, customer handling system, report generating system etc. Main objective of this project was to successfully implement the functions and fulfil the goals of the organization. Database implementation carried through Apache Server with MySQL and main technology is engaged with PHP and Java Script. User interface is basic web browser since the system is online web based type of access. Unified modelling language was used in analysis and design phase. This dissertation was provided with graphs, figures and tables to improve the understandability of the system and report would help external person to examine the developed system with fulfilling the functional and non-functional requirements of the system. the system developer strongly believe that Sahanro Pharmacy will gain the benefit through this project.
