As one of the main section of Vocational Training Authority, The Career Guidance and Job Placement division plays an active role. The main responsibility of this division is to counselling the apprentices who passed on to them, direct those beginners for further training and refer them to respective employment. It is necessary to preserve with care opportunities for new jobs and training and also the particulars such as the places to where opportunities were referred at earlier occasions. This work has become a serious task as it solely depends on the officer dealing with it. Sometimes due to transfer or promotion of the officer the data may become unavailable. Then another chief reason is impracticability of maintenance in information for long periods. In one particular area there may be many job opportunities whereas workers may be too few. Or it may turn out to be the opposite. The information is not efficiently communicated through manual process. It deprives the correct person the correct opportunity. Moreover as such a method is usually time-consuming. Opportunities for jobs not only institution wise but also local and foreign are being increased almost daily. The proposed system takes steps to register those apprentices already finished their training and both those who are about to finish training. Those entrepreneurs able to provide jobs or training opportunities are given chance to advertise their labour needs and finding suitable persons through this system. By means of this system information pertaining to both parties will be preserved for a long period. The system also enables those who have already registered with it to find out opportunities suitable to them and send their applications accordingly. Entrepreneurs have enough time to acknowledge their choices. Information is available to anybody is living in any place at any time. PHP is one of the open source scripting language was used to develop this system. MySQL for database management, JavaScript to build interactivity to equip and develop the system beyond those features JQuery was used. Many Online Apps was made use for this purpose. Apache and SendMail which is an open source web and email servers used to implement this system. The page design work accomplished by using DreamWeawr which is one of the web authoring software.
