This solution is built in a way to cover the most of the administration processes of the school, such as: attendance and leave management, profile management, Fees Management, and Student progressive report Generation. Further, the best part is; the web based system makes it possible to access from anywhere in the world. . The project was implemented using RUP as the IDE. PHP which is a powerful server side scripting language has been used for server side scripting along with the Apache web server and MySQL which is a relational database management system. In addition, Software Ideas Modular was used to draw the UML diagrams shown in this dissertation. The web based School Information Management System has been designed to fulfil the user and system requirements. The system would assist the management of school to monitor and manage the processes.
