Title: Product order and Inventory Management System For AccraCoir International (PVT) Ltd

Abstract: Accra Coir International (ACI) is an industry-leading coir product provider in Srilanka. ACI has been offering a wide range of coir product to their buyer. They are using Coco peat and Coco Chips (Hydro) as raw material for their production. The size of the material and content of the materials are vary from one product to another as a customer requirement. At present the factory is using several mechanical systems in their manufacturing. But the factory managing activities and stock handling have been done by a manual file based system. As a result factory manager have been faces several difficulties when they managing their stock and order processing. The proposed system is helped to overcoming that problems and inefficiencies of the current manual system. The system has automated supplier registration process, merchant registration process, product cost estimation process and report generation process. The project was developed according to the Object Oriented techniques and Hibernate Data mapper pattern in MVC architecture. In addition, RUP was the process model that used to proposed system. Java has been used to build the system and NetBeans use as the Development Environment (IDE),MySQL database have been used to handle database on Windows operating system. Jasper-Reports have been used to generate reports. Visual Paradigm was used to draw the UML diagrams shown in this dissertation. This dissertation illustrates all the work carried out during the each phase of the project. Each chapter will consist of required details in order to understand the project with the help of appropriate figures, graphs and reports. At the end of this development process, the system was tested by factory manager, the owner of the factory and also many users of the company. The system was successfully achieved their requirement and the application were successfully installed at the client computers.
