Abstract: Apparel export industry is the most significant and dynamic contributor for Sri Lanka?s economy so textile industry occupies a pre-eminent place in Sri Lanka. Textile industry has close relationship with chemical industry due to Textile industry used substantially chemicals. Harris and Menuk(HAM) is a chemical importing company in Sri Lanka which import various kind of chemicals that required for textile industry. The main tasks of HAM are importing Chemicals and selling them. There are warehouses for stock imported items until handover it to the customer. Existing system is handled manually with lot of papers are consist more redundant data. In case of this, staff has been uncomforted with processes are included in the system. Within existing system, loan balancing, sales tracking and pricing which would be difficult achievements. There is no progress monitoring facilities, as a result of that usually processes has been delaying than expected time schedule. In fact of above, HAM decided evolve to web based Business Management System which produce their all aspect. Wide ranges of facilities are introduced to carry out their work such as handle sales detail, customer detail, and loan taken issues with reminder messages. Decision making ability is improved using Report and chart, redundancy is cut down as much as possible. Technologies that used to develop the system are PHP as server side scripting, MYSQL for database handling and JAVA SCRIPT as client side processing. XAMPP server is used to deploy the system with apache as the web server and system will access by all major web browsers and on Linux & windows platforms. The architecture for develop the System is MVC architecture and used Object Oriented techniques is used in analysis, design and development phases. With the proposed system, users will be able to keep track many things effectively and efficiently.
