Managing Issues is one of the main functions of an organization. Although most of the organizations rely on manual paper based solutions to track, there could be many issues or requests shared among any given department within the organization. As a result, it may become impossible to handle the issue resolving process manually. With paper based solutions, managing issues become ineffective and inefficient. There is no way to track the progress or efficiency of the issue resolving process which can occur on a daily basis. Sometimes, some of the issues may not get resolved for the fact that there is no track of the pending issues to be resolved which may result in major problems, which in turn could lead to an overall inefficiency in the department. There could be complaints from various departments that their issues are unattended for a considerable time which could cause major conflict between departments. This leads the organization subjected to this situation to think of a powerful automated issue tracking system which tracks issues and requests as well as the creation and resolving process. This newly developed business process of issue resolution addresses the entire resolution life cycle including the issue inception, escalation, alerting the assignee and supervisor, solution and closure with the possibility of extracting MIS for the issue trend identification. Having selected an organization presently facing the above explained calamity, the author then analyzed the situation with the intention of designing the most plausible solution suitable for the company. In the process of designing an application to cater the above requirement, going about the selection of ground material for the designing process, Microsoft Visual C#.Net 2010 was chosen as programming language which is compatible with Internet Explorer 9 browser or above. SQL Server 2008 was chosen as the Database Management System. Author decided to use these technologies due to the easy integration possibility among each other products. Argo UML was selected to draw UML diagrams and Smart Draw was chosen to draw ER diagrams. This web based system facilitates a qualitative, standardized and effective functional procedure with a user friendly environment. Therefore with use of this system, lot of benefits can be reaped.en_US
