Abstract: LWK Enterprises is a stock managing and distributing company. The main purpose of this is simply to enable a business take stock and appropriately manage their goods and products. And it is a process done by businesses that sell products in order to help analyse how the business is performing. A manual inventory system is updated, maintained and controlled without using a technical system. This means the business updates the inventory by physically counting the inventory items on a frequent basis. Manual inventory systems are time consuming, as the business owner must keep track of inventory sales on a daily basis, while updating the system manually at the end of the day. So the intention of this project was to overcome those problems by providing a computerized web based system, namely the Quick Shop that will handle most of the stock management related tasks automatically perform their everyday tasks. This system designed based on Structured Analysis and Design concepts and work tasks carryout by following the Waterfall Model. PHP (PHP Hypertext Pre-processor) was chosen as the development technology with the support of open source web frameworks, which makes the system highly reliable, maintainable and user-friendly. MySQL Server was used as the Relational Database Management System and WAMP was selected as the Application Server. Overall system functionalities mainly focused on the needs of the users. It allowed front officers to reduce the time wastage in most time consuming activities. Most common stock managing operations such as ordering, checking, billing, and also some special features such as planning, scheduling and reminding are provided within this system. The officers are given the opportunity to be alert about stock reorder point dues by the computerized system. It is believed that the features mentioned above were helpful for the betterment of the existing stock procedure and to reap the maximum benefits for both employees and customers of the company.
