Abstract: Janani Traders is a fast developing grocery situated in Minuwangoda area. Suppliers and consumers deal with Janani Traders since 1996. Mrs Krishna Ranjanee, the newly owner of this shop since her husband was died. She has an efficient staff to handle the business. However, management is used traditional file base system to manage their business. As results file system was included sales and purchasing details on credits and misplaced cash in hand details. Also management couldn t get available stock of the shop without manual counting. Then it was also difficult to check inventory level and reorder quantities. Then calculating employee salary is a major problem the organization according attendance of employees. Manage Inventory and Employee Handling System will support to grow up the business process with handling the stock of items. The system mainly targeted on all purchasing related details and sales related details with or without any payment. System will manage organization s employees records like employee profiles, attendances and monthly salary. The Owner can calculate her daily business, profit and identify situation of all items and employees details. Hibernate framework and MVC model are used to develop the proposed system. Netbeans IDE 8.0 is used as implementation environment and SQLyog Community is helped as database server. Visual paradigm is used to create diagrams in system and JasperReport 4.7 is selected to construct reports which are required. Log4j 1.2 used to find errors and information messages into log file. The Manage Inventory and Employee Handling System has been designed to fulfill the user and system requirements. The system would assist the management of Janani Traders to monitor and manage the processes. It could also help employees from cashier up to management to work efficiently and enable profit maximization through this newly system.
