Title: Online Project Management tool with Performance Tracker

Abstract: This report is consist information about background, system design, implementation, quality assurance of the project of online project management tool with the performance tracker. Software project management activities are very critical and risk associates activities. These activities become exponentially more complex and difficult for large projects. The rapidly growing technology creates a huge demand on accurate, easy to access, management decision supporting system. Online project management tool –Smart Project is designed and develop as online web application to fulfill above requirements. Online project management tool –Smart Project is a web application consists of project, task, timesheet and user management module, reporting module and dashboard. Smart Project is designed to facilitate users to easily and accurately maintain project related data. Admin managers can create a project and assign the project to a specific project manager. And then the project manager can create the team. When creating the team project manager can view each individual past track records through the system and decide who to select to the team. Managers can create tasks and group them to separate task lists through the system. By going through those history data of an employee managers can select the best resource to assign the tasks. Employee can view their tasks and can add and update the timesheets. System is capable of providing rich graphical interfaces to support to tracking the projects status. System dashboard is consists of multiple charts to demonstrate the current status of projects and the tasks. Also in order to display the schedule of projects separate types of Gant charts are available in the System. Smart Project has developed with a reporting module. Users can generate four types of reports through the system. This report consists of introduction and analysis of project management and system design and implementation and finally an evaluation of the system. First two chapters report describe the project management domain, objective of the project and its final beneficial and analyses current methodologies and trends in project management and related solution details. The system design and Implementation chapters are consisting of architecture technical and software domain details. And the Evaluation and results chapter consists of user evaluation and software testing details. The user evaluation is done based on a survey results which was given to the users after allowing those to use the system for a time. The survey results are analyzed on this chapter. Also the testing strategy and the test results are reported on this. Related test cases, results and survey and its results are also embedded in this report.
