Title: Real Time Secure Document Sharing Application
Authors: Sampath, L.H.T.
Issue Date: 3-Oct-2014
Abstract: Today time is a really important factor. Hence converting a sequence process in to a parallel one is worth lot. Having a methodology to update a document where collaborative participation required is in a simultaneously manner means it will complete the task efficiently. Otherwise document needs to be created by one person, then update his section and forward to next person, then rely on dependencies etc. will slow down the efficiently of the task. Hence updating a document simultaneously by each user or the participant and then resolve dependencies with minimum time usage is addressing a major problem today. Proposed solution addresses the primitive need of collecting and updating information by a group of people simultaneously and helps them to complete the task collaboratively. Solution is simple and uses a combination of existing technologies. As enhancements this group establishment can be setup with minimum resources like using Wi Fi technology. Hence the group establishment becomes more efficient with minimum infrastructure. Also the data transmission has implemented in secure manner so this technology integration can be used in military data transmission between small groups of people also. Real world scenarios which this solution addresses can be identified as any financial document updates, and professional meeting where every ones’ out required for finalize a document, disaster situations where need to have quick estimations on the impact, any type of group work related to document updates, military sites and many more. The proposed system consists of 3 phases which were integrated at the end of the project.  Ad hoc network connectivity establishment & maintains.  Real time files sharing.  Secure file sharing. The scope of this application is limited to develop a prototype for similar application as there are many further work required in order to make this much sophisticated one with additional cosmetics.
