dc.description.abstractWasi Quick cabs and Tours (Pvt) Ltd is a developing and a well-known company in ja-ela area. When providing the services, there should be a proper mechanism to manage their day to day activities, which has been handled with heavy paper work currently and which will be inefficient and time wasting. As a solution we can get an aid from the information technology. Transport management system is emerged to reduce these problems and will increase the competency and efficiency of their work. This system has provided many facilities such as vehicle registration, driver registration, customer registration, hire reservation, hire allocation, managing income and expenses, handling daily vehicle attendance, calculating driver salaries, generate reports to the right time etc. The transport management system has been developed based on the Rational Unified Process (RUP) framework. C# which is an object oriented language has been selected as the programming language to implement this system and Microsoft visual studio has been selected as the IDE (integrated development environment).Further SQL server database has been selected as the database to store the data of the system. Further this system has provided automation of the processes and become an aid to face the competition and future forecasting about the business.en_US
