Authors: Thanabalasingam, K.
Issue Date: 22-Jul-2014
Abstract: The SINGER Plus was established in 2009.But this SINGER Plus? lacks computerized systems. The SINGER main office is computerized but SINGERPlus Chunnakam is operated manually. The manager in SINGER Plus, Chunnakam has only the rights to access the bills, but he has no right to access the entire main software. This method of confidentiality is necessary to safeguard the privacy and functions of different SINGER Plus? connected with the main office. To help the SINGER Plus Chunnakam to solve their problem the Web based Showroom Management System (WSRMS) was introduced. To save time and to reduce the paper workload, the proposed system will ensure in achieving the goal of having sales over eight million per month, alert to fast-moving products, minimum alert based on the each product, products that are not sold within three months, sales on installment basis, recording repair and service details of sold products, recording of daily attendance of staff members, records of staff salary and advance payment taken, details of recruited staff members, recording of showroom expenses, regular customer discount message, annual gross profit and net profit linear graph, customize the manager appointment list and getting print outs will help the manager to see cash flow and credit at the end of each day. The evolutionary development with prototyping is used to develop methodology and it is an object oriented system design. I have utilized the following techniques: Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) it is the server side scripting language and to the buildup the system the Apache web server was used. Mysql was used to operate the database as this permits the use of both the windows and linux environment. The SINGER Plus Chunnakam manager is able to attend to the sales and the customers has grater facilities to meet inquiries and appointments with board members. This system will boost the SINGER-Plus in achieving greater profit and reliable customer service.
