Title: INVENTORY AND STAFF MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR LAUREATE COMPUTER RESORT (PVT) LTD

Abstract: Laureate is a well reputed company providing advertising and selling screen printing products. It has a higher volume of Customers due to the outstanding customer service that they provided. Although they have a considerable amount of customers and employees, they are relying on an inefficient manual file handling system. Because of the usage of manual system to conduct business, they had to go through lots of difficulties when handling activities related to customers, employees and inventory. Unnecessary paper and labour cost derived by a manual system is an addition burden for the client. This endeavor is to introduce a computer based solution as a helping hand to eliminate those difficulties. Requirements were analyzed using fact gathering techniques such as interviews, scenarios, document reviews and observation. Requirement validation and realism check were done at last of requirement analysis phase to confirm requirements gathered. Argo UML was used to draw the UML diagrams shown in dissertation. Use case diagrams were drawn to understand main modules and other diagrams were simplified the proposed system. The project was implemented using Visual Studio 2010 as the IDE and SQL server 2008 as the database server. ASP programming language and .Net framework were used to do coding and reports were generated using Crystal Report (version 13.06) as well. Black box and white box testing were used as techniques of testing and unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing, regression testing were used as levels of testing. Furthermore test plan was made to plan the testing phase and test cases were used to compare expected out come with actual outcome of the system functionalities. The system which is being developed will help to overcome problems existing and provides an excellent solution for managing the inventory and staff management as Client expected.
