Title:  iPETS for MD Pets Shop

Abstract: This projectwas undertaken to develop and address the activities of the MD Pets Shop, Panadura who assist with all aspects of selling and purchasing of various kinds of pets and pets accessories, food, medicines and equipment. The main aim of the project was to create an ecommerce web application for selling and purchasing of pets and pets related items. Besides that the project was targeted to provide an e-business solution for the company to carry out effective online marketing and get more benefits in sales and marketing and reach new customers while advertising globally. The system was also aimed to provide a good quality service for the customers and enable them to interact and communicate with the company effectively. In addition, this project converted the prevailing manual system of the MD Pets Shop in to a much easier automated system. The most important feature of this project was that the user can eliminate the errors and inefficiencies in the current manual system. The new system was designed to provide a more efficient and satisfactory client care service. This e-Business website was implemented in Apache web server, PHP server side scripting language and MySQL DBMS with the use of Wamp2.1 for development in local environment.All the relevant tasks during the project were carried out under proper supervision and according to the allocated time. Therefore the project was completed, thoroughly tested and the system was delivered to the GSMS according to the targeted schedule. This report is a detailed documentation of the work performed in developing the iPETS for MD Pets Shop. However, each chapter is framed to cover a specific work area consisting of the required details in order to understand the project with the help of appropriate figures and tables.
