Abstract: Recent years have seen a complete revolution in how information is gathered, archived and used in both business and government around the world. Throughout much of the world, the workplace has been transformed from one based on paper documents, fraught with errors and delays, to one based on information technology (IT). While IT can bring vast improvements in accuracy and timeliness, IT, by itself, does not change the basic problems of personnel competence or administrative inertia. Information technology is merged with every field of this fast moving world and IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit and retrieve information securely. Aruna Pharmacy mainly concern about providing health care items with best customer satisfaction. This system is adopted to resolve major activities of the organization such as Stock Management, Payment Management, Prescription Management, Supplier and User Management and provide required reports for analysis of various aspects regarding purchases and sales. Object-Oriented methodologies and present trends in the software industry have been incorporated to develop the current system such as jdk 1.6, .MySQL database is used as the backend to understand database environment through visual representations, Business and Data access layers respectively. In addition to that used Net Beans IDE 6.9.1. This document primarily depicts the importance of the developed system, processes involved with each phase of the Rational Unified Process, problems which occurred throughout the project; and the solutions that have been provided.
