Title: Cloud Based Sales Force Automation System For The Tradesmann SL

Abstract: The Tradesmann SL is a fast growing distribution company in Sri Lanka. It distributes electronic goods around the country. There is a standalone system which is being currently used by the company, as this system is inefficient, time consuming and costly, there is a need for an efficient system. As all the sales representatives are field workers, billing and other processes are done manually and communication between the company and the sales representatives are over the phone. This is a hindrance for smooth sales process. The proposed system automates sales force in the company. It deals with order processing, inventory, customer management, communication with field workers. It is a cloud based system which can be accessed from anywhere as internet is available everywhere. So that the sales representatives on the field can easily place orders and get information about stock and current price of the products. This system is directly handled by the sales representatives. It can generate reports accordingly. Therefore company can get current information about the move of the market. This system also has the ability to track customers and get relevant information about the sales. Therefore this system can overcome the above mentioned problems and greatly reduces the distribution cost of the company. The system has adopted object oriented techniques, for the analysis and designing process Uniform Modelling Language (UML) was used. The cloud base system is developed using most popular FOSS products Hypertext Pre-processor(PHP); most popular server side scripting language and MySQL is the relational database management system which is a product belongs to Oracle cooperation where both of this works along with Apache web server; is the most widely used web server. Android client is developed with the help of the Eclipse IDE, which is used for Java coding and XML user interface designing. Android SDK version 2.1 and Android SDK version 4.1 compilers are used to build the app. The app runs on built-in simulators and the Android OS version up to 2.1 platforms.
