Abstract: Budget 3Wheel (Pvt) Ltd is leading Taxi Service in Colombo which running manual system to distribute hires to taxi drivers, since it s initiation but in the modern world where time is a precious commodity, it is fast becoming inefficient and effort consuming due to the increase in customers and a large volume of taxi drivers. One of the major problems being faced by the call agents of the company is the time consuming task of distributing hires to taxi drivers. The main purpose of proposed system is essentially to automate entire operations. So that the Taxi Operator and Their Customer can get the best and fast Information about Their Vehicles and drivers at any Point of Time. He needs to exercise tight control on the operations and input costs if he is to provide good service at reasonable rates and yet remain profitable. Customer can book a taxi using Android App, Sending SMS, and logging to official web site or calling the hotline. However customer booking will be notified to the nearest taxi driver automatically by the system. Driver should response within short period of time to the notification. It automates entire front-office operations like accepting customer bookings via hotline, web, SMS and smart phone, track vehicle location by GPS or AGPS, allocation of vehicles. The system also takes care of all back-office operations like capturing of maintenance costs incurred, fuel purchase, accident records, service log etc. Admin Module handles the entire Master forms such as Company information, Employee information User allocation, change password, Vehicle type, vehicle tariff, Payment approval, MIS Report etc., The project was developed using Hypertext Pre-processor (PHP) which is a server-side scripting language on Apache web server and MySQL is used as the database server. Unified Modelling Language (UML) was used for analysis and design. Since this is a web based system, it could be operated either in Windows or Linux environment.
