Inventory and Accounts Control System for Prime Components

Abstract

Prime Components is a Partner Ship Company Started few years back by Sidath Perera with his uncle, focusing mainly on supplying computer accessories / laptops accessories. They started out with just a few customers. Now the business has became more diverse focusing on providing services such as laptop repairing and renting out laptops to existing customer's and the response has been positive. On average they receive more than 25 laptops for repairs and rent several laptops a month. Although this has been a good turn around for the company, it s been difficult for the accounts department for separating the sales details. As the business grows it s became hard to keep a track of all the transactions with the existing manual system. A lot of inconsistencies have been found with the manual system. So Prime Components are looking for a system which manages their Quotations, Invoices, Payments and Receipts, Income Statements and also provide access to the system through multiple operating systems and web access. The Web based inventory and accounts control system is build to help prime components manage their transactions effectively and improve their business process. This system is build using PHP and can be run on both windows and Linux based operating systems. UML has been used to describe the system diagrams in analysis and design. Apache has been used as the web server.
