ADMINISTRATIVE AND STOCK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR UPALI ENTERPRISES, PERADENIYA.

Abstract

This report is based on the administration and stock management system for Upali Enterprises Peradeniya which is one of the leading building construction office, in upcountry. The purpose of this project is to produce an automated system that will overcome the weaknesses of the current manual system. This system gives a smooth functioning procedure with user friendly system environment. The entire system divides in to three sub systems, namely Administration and Project Handling, Stock handling system and Accounts handling system. In addition Management Decision Support system facilitates to Analysis and evaluates project status using graphs, reports and past record. The purpose of this project is to create a windows based system that will overcome the weaknesses of the current manual system. The new system should be able to handle the transactions with punctuality and in a precise way that will be less time and money consuming with a minimum amount of errors. Therefore with this project I endeavor to improve and maintain the standards, quality and efficiency of the construction and engineering office. Single personal computer is required to implement the system. Furthermore this system is put into operation under Windows environment. To implement the automated system C# .NET language and ADO .NET technologies have been used. Microsoft SQL Server is used to deal with database.
