Abstract

Considering about the latest conditions in the world business field, data is the main component which plays the major role, but to use that data within the business field successfully some good management procedure is very much important. Actually gathering all data related to the business would not be that much difficult but the manipulation of data most probably may get hard and very much important in the field. To have the fullest harvest in manipulating the management of data should be done in a proper manner. So a careful designed Management Information System is very much important. The Management Information System is expected to be addressed within this report is for an Excellent Institute Katuwawala. It has been developed to manipulate the core areas of the A/L education business domain which is the student management system. Under that it expects to manage day to day payments management, classroom management, Lecturer management, course management and reporting. While assisting its users in managing the day-to-day activities by providing timely and accurate data, the system also automates time-consuming tasks such as classroom scheduling and resource allocation. This Student Management System is developed using VB.net programming language, with the use of Crystal Reports and MySQL Database. The analysis and design of the system were initiated in December 2009 and the system was developed, tested, and successfully implemented by July 2010. After that deployment all other supports are giving to them for system maintenance. Main purpose of this system is changing the management activities and other processes of the Excellent institute Katuwawala to accurate and efficient.
