PAWNING SYSTEM

Abstract

DA Software Solutions (Pvt) Ltd Company was a Sri Lankan software company with high profile of technological achievements in Asia with integrated business applications, web and mobile internet applications and services. The Pawning Software Solution was also developed by the company was to fulfil the needs and the demand of Software Solutions for the market. The project was initiated as a result of its clients demand for a web based Pawning Software Solution. Its clients were using to do the pawning business in a manual system. This system was meant for automated pawning business by replacing the current manual system. The system was developed to cater all the above mentioned needs. The system allowed the officer s of the company to log in to the system and do most of the time consuming activities, directly through the Internet or Intranet. Solutions for the problems in manual system such as Creating, Renewing, Closing, Redeeming of tickets and also some special features such as Expiring, Calculating interest on daily basis according to the sachems and ticket authorize will notify to the relevant offices by an email according to the authorization levels are provided in this system. Reports are generated covering different views such as statistical and graphical, which improves decision making of the management. The Goal of this project was to develop a highly available web based solution for the current problems faced by its clients. This system had been designed using Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodology. The J2EE had been chosen as the development technology with the support of latest open source web frameworks, which made the system highly reliable and maintainable.
