Student Administration System for UNIVOTEC

Abstract

University of Vocational Technology is established under the Act No.31 of 2008 of the University of Vocational Technology (UNIVOTEC) passed on September 09, 2008. UNIVOTEC offers Postgraduate Degrees, Degree and other courses to enhance technical and vocational development of Sri Lanka. All the student registration activities, maintaining of student details and course structures are held by Programmed office. The newly implemented system is categorized as a Registration system, Inquiry system and payment System. In the student registration any student can place a registration inquiry by filling the registration form. It is an opportunity for a student to check whether they are eligible to register with any UNIVOTEC course with the present qualification. Administrator can view all these inquiries and reply them via emails. In payment process when a student gets registered for a course the course fee can be paid in full payment as well as in installments. Unified Modeling Language was used in the analysis and design stages of the project. Java which is an Object Oriented language is used to implement the system in with the help of MYSQL Server 5.0. Necessity chapter will consist of required details in order to understand the project with the help of appropriate figures, graphs and reports. Through achieving functional and non-functional objectives of the project, this system gives a smooth functioning procedure with user friendly environment. I strongly believe the work which I have done will engage a better working environment in UNIVOTEC
