LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR DISTRICT LABOUR OFFICE PELMADULLA.

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to develop a computerized Library Management System in order to improve efficiency of library transactions at District Labour Office, Pelmadulla. The main objective of the system is to handle the library operations in a more effective and efficient way. Such as member registration, entering book details, providing search facilities to it s users, generating reports. The System provides the Management with reports and information periodically. The system is maintained by a centralized Database Management System which consists of high security such as maintaining different User Levels. For the development of the system, C#.net 2005 has been used as the programming language and MS SQL Server 2005 as the backend. This dissertation contains all work carried out during the project including analysis, design, implementation and testing. It describes all the required details in order to understand the project.
