Stock Controlling System for T.I.Pharmaceutical (Pvt) Ltd.

Abstract

This document contains complete description of the project of Stock Controlling System (SCS) which was prepared for T. Illesinghe Pharmaceutical(Pvt) Ltd. The scope of this project is to solve existing problems in the pharmacy up to the expected level of Project examination Board (PEB). The existing stock controlling system in the pharmacy is a manual system which is very hard to handle. Sale items, purchasing, returning items, searching, viewing stock details, reordering are some of the highlighted areas in the problem domain. The major objective of this project is to develop a computer based Stock Controlling System (SCS) for T.I. Pharmaceutical (Pvt) Ltd. using MySQL and Java using Object Oriented methodologies with two security levels such as administrator and regular users. Users can perform sales, purchases, handle returns, searching and viewing details using this new system. Another objective of this project is issuing automatic reminders with respect to their ordering levels and the expiry dates. This SCS has the facility to print the reports of major system details for official purposes and the administrator has the facility of generating Managerial Reports. The system has an inbuilt email notification facility about reminder notices according to the user expectation.
