MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR e.com COMPUTER LEARNING CENTER [MIS4e.com]

Abstract

The e.com Computer Learning Center, Jaffna is one of the leading Computer Centers in Jaffna. Currently a manual System is used. All functions are done by the manual system which consumes more time and cost of the staff. The goal of this project is to provide a Management Information System to e.com Computer Learning Center, which automates the management functions of the institute to facilitate the staff, to carry out their day to day works more accurately and quickly. This system automates the daily activities of the Institute such as, Staff Management, Student Management, and Study Programme Management and provides processed outputs by daily, weekly or monthly reports. To develop the system, interviews and discussion methods were used as data gathering technique and object oriented design is used as the modeling technique, VB.net is used as the programming language and SQL Server 2000 is used as DBMS. The evaluation result provided by the users of the MIS indicates the essentiality and the great effectiveness of this system. This document covers all the activities which have been carried out during the processing of this project, such as requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing and review of related works of the project. This document systematically explains each activity of the project as separate chapters. This System is essential to the e.com for efficient output of its. The MIS4e.com was able to achieve all the requirements of the system. The system also has the database backup and dynamic help facilities. The project should be lower in cost and completed within a scheduled period, and, this is also achieved successfully e.com s requirement
