Web Based Business Automation System for Aruna Motors

Abstract

Web based automation system is a growing approach that has given much attention in the recent past to reach distance customers. Many shortcomings were contained in the existing manual system of the client company. They were unable to manage an order properly, which was placed by customer. There was lack of ability for maintaining stocks properly. History reports were difficult to found out. Those were the major drawback in the existing manual system. The main purpose of the proposed system is, to support specialized areas such as Order Processing System and Production Management System. Supplier handling also covered by the system to make system more useful to the company. This project attempts to address the need of customers by developing a system that can facilitate mainly Search new products, Place Orders, View order status, place orders through quotations and Maintain customer profile with a history. It also eases the management work by facilitating to get a correct decision through Management Reports, handle suppliers details by adding, deleting and editing supplier information. And stock controlling plays a major role in here because, users are unable to do stock transactions easily thorough the system. The proposed system is developed using Object Oriented concept, Microsoft .NET Technology and XML. Used Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the DBMS.
