BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & MONITORING SYSTEM FOR LAKSIRI JEWELLERS

Abstract

The success of every business always relies on making the right decision at the right time as well as performing the related tasks fast and effectively. In this occurrence, computer based solutions play a vital role as they are very reliable and yet speed remedies in their day to day business purposes. Laksiri Jewellers is a jewellery selling and pawning centre which is been in the industry for over 15 years. The business operates at two different places, their main office being located in Weyangoda while a branch is located in Gampaha. The overall objective of this project is to develop a well organized web based Business Management & Monitoring System to manage day to-day business transactions and requirements of the Client. The developed system reduces the work load to be done by employees and increase the efficiency and accuracy of business activities. The system provides interfaces for the users to manage the activities, such as sales, pawning, maintaining employee and customer records etc. In return the system provides quick inquiries for the pawning and sales activities and output reports. Also it has the facility to manage user logins and give privileges according to the work involved with the system. The developed system is fully client satisfied application which is very easy to use by the non IT related personnel and providing reliable service to the client. The system is based on Microsoft Windows platform and developed on Three Tier Architecture Model. Unified Modeling Language was used to model the system and the programming language used was ASP.NET C# and the database was developed using MySQL Server.
