Abstract: This dissertation is about the Vehicle Reservation System developed for Exodus Touring (Pvt) Ltd. Vehicles are rented by Exodus on behalf of suppliers and also has their own vehicles. All the reservation functionalities are done manually and the main activities understood can be explained as; Category Rate sheets for each and every category are maintained separately. Keep a Log on the date and the time duration for an individual Vehicle. Customer Bills are calculated according to the durations. Suppliers income is calculated according to the specified category rates. Gross income and the commission portion earned from the suppliers will be calculated separately for the client Exodus. It was understood that the above functionalities are more time and human resource consuming & less accurate activities. The main goal of this system is to have an automated reservation system for Exodus Touring. It was understood, there are many advantages can be benefit by the Client by automating this system. Some of them are Accuracy of data. Less paper work, hence the stationary cost will be reduced. Improve the employees motivation and efficiency. Data can be retrieved on time for managerial reports. Apart from the above mentioned advantages there are many additional benefits that can be experienced which will discussed in the later part of this document. It was decided to use a plate form independent and open source programming language. So this project is powered by PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) as the server side programming and MySQL as the back-end.
