Abstract: Inventory and Stock Management System is most important for Government or Private Organizations for their works/services such as orders for purchase, purchase of goods, control of stock, sale, etc. The K.K.Phone Service, Jaffna is a private mobile phone business organization. Presently, a manual, paper based stock control system is used to maintain the day to day transactions. Therefore, the scope of this project is to deliver an efficient and effective stock control system for K.K.Phone Service, Jaffna to handle the day to day transactions such as sales, stock maintenance, orders for purchase and generating timely, weekly, monthly and yearly reports and preparing the summary. This system will help to give an improved customer service. This Stock control system was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2003 as programming language and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition as the Database Management System in the Windows environment. The structured design techniques are used to design the system. This system is functioning smoothly with user-friendly environment through the gained functional and non-functional objectives of the project. Through this system users and customers of the K.K.Phone Service, Jaffna can save a lot of time and the management gets quick and easy reporting facilities, which is important for decision making. Therefore this system will help to receive the benefits to the client, users and their customers.
