Abstract: The research presented in this report is located within the concept of Online Lecturing System (OLS). This software system will be an Online lecturing System for the students who have unable to participate for their ongoing lectures. This will be designed to provide the learning facility to remote students at the same time that lecturer is having lectures to other students in normal physical classroom environment with a use of low bandwidth. By maximizing the students participation for the lectures while reducing the burden to the lecturer this online lecturing system will meet the student s needs while remaining easy to understand and use. The concept behind of this online lecturing system is totally different from the virtual classroom implementation. The objectives of implementing this concept is to obtain an easy way of participating to the lecture going in the classroom whenever the student is unable to come to the classroom and reduce the burdens to the lectures when comparing to other lecturing system concepts. The major research area of this project is how to transmit the images that has taken from the web camera which is fixed in the classroom, how to transmit the pc desktop of lecturer and how to transmit the voice over the limited bandwidth. Both the student and the lecture will be satisfied if they can use the OLS just as the normal conventional lecturing system that we practice at most of the institutions. The main objective of the OLS is to increase the pass rate of students per semester by letting students to participate for the lecture sessions even they are unable to come to the lecture hall. To present the system in attractive manner used Java programming language and some external libraries. Definitely this online lecturing system (OLS) will be a powerful and also more helpful solution for the students as well as their lecturer too.
