Mobile Based Domestic Security System with SaaS Web Portal

Abstract

Presently anti-theft security system for domestic and small business units become an essential requirement. Especially in most cases domestic buildings remain alone in day time. In that case they have greater risk to target for theft, and can be at greater risk for arson. As a solution for this issue now most of people looking for solution to have own security system which can control and monitor their premises. Other main reason people looking for such security systems there are significant discounts offering with insurance packages form the insurance companies if there building equipped with better security systems. There is hundreds of such security system in the market to cater this domain with deferent levels of features. But most of these security systems are stand along systems. Most of domestic systems available in affordable price do not have remote monitoring and controlling feature. Other main issue in those systems is most of them required their own sensors and other external sensors for alarm capturing. This project is giving featured and customizable solution for above domain. Main objective of the project is to development of smart phone based security alarm system which can interface several types of security devices round the premises. In this case the will act as control unit and alarm monitoring & configuration interface. This device can be activated, control, configure and monitor by a web application. This web application is operated as multi-tenant SaaS platform which has multiple agents and agent users. In addition to the web application it has mini mobile web application with controlling and monitoring capability of the system. All the alarms and control signals are captured from the alarm controller system and notify to the central web application. Web system is configured to send SMS and email alert to preconfigured destinations. Finnaly this system was implemented in a customer site and got undestanding about the practical and operational deficultieas in the system which should be addressed in the future versions of this product.
