Abstract: This report consists of information regarding the background, design, implementation and quality assurance of the Medicare Medical Portal Web Application system development. With the growing technology and increase of fast demand in medical care service it is essential to have electronic system to collaborate medical professionals and medical care service seekers. Medical collaboration is a growing area and lot of researches is happening to get the best out of internet technology to serve the medical industries growing need of collaboration and communication. Medicare portal is designed as online web tool to serve this purpose. Medicare Medical Portal is a Web application consists of electronic health profile management, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), electronic medical prescriptions, medical information system. Medicare portal is designed to allow a doctor or specialist to easily & accurately create a patient prescription. It can then be sent to a patient's preferred pharmacy electronically. Much of the required data is already stored in a patient's health record, so the process saves a lot of time over manually writing out prescriptions. Portal Also helps doctors to see the patients whole medical history from a single point of access including past encounters, allergies, medications etc. this will help doctors to take more accurate discussions before treating them. Medicare Medical Portal also allows doctor or specialist to manage their patient's medical history through series of electronic medical records. Medicare Medical Portal has forums which users and specialists can communicate. It also has a medical information access center. This report consists of the introduction, analysis, implementation and evaluation of the Medicare Portal. In the first two chapters reports describe the current trends and ongoing research in medical collaboration and how it is important for human well being. The design and implementation chapters are consists of the architecture and the technical details of the Portal where the last two chapters consists of user evaluation and testing. The user evaluation is based on the survey which is given to users after letting them use the system. The report also contains sample of test cases used in testing phase of the application with the possible outcomes and results.
