Abstract: The purpose of this study is to visualize the macular thickness report of the eye as a 3D model. Macular thickness report will be generated using OCT(Optical Coherence Tomography) scans, and it gets in-depth images of a human eye’s internal structure. This will allows doctors for managing glaucoma, identify diabetic retinopathy and some anterior segment diseases. Because of the structure of the report and the facilities available in the developing countries like Sri Lanka it is impossible to identify the exact disease, or the disease power, or upcoming diseases. For this reason decided to populate 3D model and support to do compare multiple reports and add some notations for selected areas of the report additionally. This thesis first does a survey to examine the thickness identification in each pixel’s color, and color comparison methodologies. Further includes the 3D model generation, add additional features for the 3D model, existing data storing technologies, efficient memory management and available products in the market. In the next section identifies the OCT machine scanning and reporting process, and the content of the OCT report, and exact requirements which are seeking by the medical professionals. Then use the survey findings and gathered functional and non-functional requirements to analyze the system to fulfill the need of the identified problem and then design it clearly standard methodologies and gradually implement the product with a good user interface and will do a proper evaluation to identify this will suite for the actual users from related medical professionals. Then finally describes the conclusions that these type of 3D modeling product has and how this can be use for a solution as future needs and also what are the areas that this product should grown up in the future.
