Title: Optimization of Road Traffic at Junctions to Facilitate Road Mending and Reconstruction
Authors: Eranga, D.W.T.
Issue Date:  12
Abstract: Road tra c congestion due to the increasing usage of vehicles is a serious problem in main cities all over the world. Amidst heavy tra c in road network, reconstruction and mending activities make the congestions even worse. Since reconstruction and mending are ad-hoc activities, solutions are required to facilitate road users to reach their destinations within a reasonable time period. This project aims at optimizing the tra c congestion at junctions when congestions occur due to road mending and reconstruction. The proposed solution provides alternative routes for vehicles to reach their respective destinations. Experiment conducted based on sample data yield favourable results. At the end paper suggest future works to enhance the system quality to get better results.
