Title: Spatial Temporal Queries

Abstract: Spatiotemporal queries is a major research area in geographical information systems. But what are spatiotemporal queries? Spatiotemporal query refers to querying information about moving ob- jects. Moving object can be a moving point, line or a region. Spatiotemporal queries are are widely applied in securty systems in order to monitor the be- haviours of the enemy. Also they are widely used in wide life monitering systems in order to observe the behaviour of the animals. Other than these tra c monitering applications use them in order to identify most crowded routes. Finally they are used in weather forecast systems in order to observe the behaviour of the cyclones. In this research we have considered only to solve spatiotemporal queries which involves only moving points. Here we have considered about moving points which moves at any considered time interval in a constant velocity. We have used a linear interpolation mechanism to approximate a location of a moving point which is not recorded in the database. Here we have used one database to record information about moving points. Then we have ltered this database and created a new database. We have used this database to solve spatiotemporal queries.
