Effective Travelling Guide Using Web Data Extraction

Abstract

Searching the information from World Wide Web has become an inefficient task. Normal Web search engines has many limitations like providing irrelevant results, inability of giving summarized result and inability of searching several relating subjects in one search. Our objective is to provide solutions for these problems in travelling domain when searching information on tourist attractions, accommodations and transportations. In this dissertation we have proposed a travelling guide using ontology based Web data extraction which is capable of providing well organized concise output combining information from the three areas tourist attractions, accommodations and transportations for a given starting location and destination in a single search.
