Title: Ontology Based Optimal Location Prediction for Fishermen
Authors: Kumari, V.G.K.
Issue Date: 18-Dec-2013
Abstract: With the extension of the wireless technology, it enables people to access their personal information, corporate data, and public resources anytime, anywhere. The systems which support the mobile awareness of the user are important rather than the systems which hide the users' mobility. Location based services provide the information with related to a speci c location of the user. The required information can be given based on the indi- vidual current location, user preferences and also user history of searching information. However most location based searching systems are not considering the semantics of the user required information. The use of semantic information can be helped to an intelli- gent, e cient searching more relevant to the users' meaning-driven queries. The semantic matching can not be accomplished through the databases. semantic Web is one technol- ogy which facilitates semantic searching. Ontology is one of the main components used to enable knowledge interoperability within the Semantic Web. The domain based ontol- ogy helps the software agents to do semantic based tasks for users including searching, scheduling and customizing. This paper proposes an ontology based searching system for shermen to get their preferred locations based on his current location, history of shing and nd the optimal locations which satisfy user requests, give best sh production and also the safety to the users.
