dc.description.abstractSleep is an essential thing for all living things. Sleep makes the brain rest so, normally when it's starting to sleep normal body functionality goes a little bit lower than usual. That makes the human body less responsive. Because of that sleeping while driving can lead into many tragedies. To prevent sleepy driving people has come up with di erent solutions. Real time alert systems are one of the major concerns in preventing sleepy driving. Di erent systems have taken di erent approaches to detect the sleepy behavior and alert the driver. Even though there are lots of things done in this eld already, still it's in a very controversial level because of their drawbacks. An attempt to detect the sleepiness of vehicle drivers using force sensors as grip sensors will be described in this. This project will be solely implemented using Arti cial Neural Network Techniques, Fuzzy Logic and Electronics. A sensor device that can detect force/grip changes and a PC end software that can make decisions over collected data will be the two major parts of this approach. In the sensor device the key component will be the Force Sensor Resistor(FSR) which can change its resistance according to the applied force on it.en_US
