EFFICIENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CAB SERVICE

Abstract

This project focuses on S R CAB SERVICE Ratmalana. The main aims of this project are to study the difficulties faced by the S R CAB SERVICE on their manual system, and to give them an IT based solution. The solution was named ?Efficient Information System for CAB service? ISforCAB. ISforCAB provide web interface for customers to reserve a taxi. It provides an easy access to them. For manager level system provides charts and statistical views for analyzing, monitoring, planning and decision-making. S R CAB SERVICE will get more benefits via web-based taxi reservation system. Whole system is running with real time transactions processing. Open Source technologies used here and it caused to more advantages. System design approach is based on the software engineering practices and methods. All the design aspects were carefully analyzed and composed to confirm with the Industry Standard. Development is carried out after design phase is completed. The design document is verified and reviewed before starting the development. Each module and functionalities specified in the designed document are implemented independently. This document explains thoroughly, the design approaches, programming techniques used, database development and hardware & software specifications.
