Grama Niladhari Tasks Handling System for Mawana Grama Niladhari Office

Abstract

Grama Niladhari Divisions (GND) is village level administrative in the administrative structure of Sri Lanka. Each Division is represented by an officer named Grama Niladhari. Mawana Grama Niladhari Division is administrated under the Mawanella Division. Currently the GN manages his activities manually. He finds difficulties to do his activities manually, since he has to maintain a number of files. So this system is developed to manage the activities of GN and improve the quality, efficiency and maintain the standard of the work. The web base solution has mainly three functions. Registration process, Report generation and management of complaints. Registration process includes all the registering activities such as register members, register family register deaths, register disabled members. Registered data can sort out to find those who eligible to vote, eligible get NIC. Report Generation process includes all the reports provided by the GN. Generate report, store the reports which are issued are some of the functionalities. Manage complaint process include record complaints, view complaints, and solved complaints can be marked as solved. To develop this system Object Oriented Approaches were used. Unified Modeling Language (UML) used to model the design diagrams. This system developed mainly using PHP- server side scripting language. My SQL used as database management system and Apache as web server. The Grama Niladhari Tasks Handling System is very useful to the Grama Niladhari Officer. He can manage most of his day to day activities and other tasks effectively by using this system. This system will provide a better solution to the GN officer and the members of the village.
