SAVINGS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR CO-OPERATIVE RURAL BANK

Abstract

RuSavings is a Web Based Savings Management System For Co-operative Rural Bank, which would help the users of a bank to manage its day to day works related to the Savings effectively and to improve the productivity and efficiency of the bank using Information Technology. The system is developed as a web based solution considering the facility of access the system from any client machine in the network by authorized users, and with an online General Ledger Entry passing is highly useful for the bank officers. The system is designed and developed considering basically the requirement of Co-operative Rural Bank, is belongs to the Dickwella Multi Purpose Co-operative Society Limited. Client expected features are Client Registration, Efficient Transaction method, Accurate General Ledger system & Information Screens. These facilities are provided in the system with user friendly screens to define the data, to update transactions and for monitoring, with appropriate security functions. Object-Oriented methodologies, Java as a programming language with some frameworks and MySql as a database were used in designing and developing the system. A major characteristic of the software solution is handling online General Ledger entries. This document explains how RuSavings , the developed solution, would handle the above mentioned areas, and how it would be helpful to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Bank.
