ON- LINE PORTAL FOR RAINBOW FAMILY

Abstract

Rainbow Family management was suffering from many drawbacks by their current system which is an Excel sheet. For sending letters and notices to the sponsors they have to use normal post letter delivery system. Sponsors also have to visit them manually in order to donate a child. They do not have a proper media to advertise about the organization and children to world. All these are corrected and satisfied by The online portal of Rainbow Family . The online portal for Rainbow Family is a web based system. It has two components, a web site and MIS. It will enable to update Rainbow family website through online. Also it will spread the information about this organization worldwide. It has the facility of on line sponsoring and funding. The MIS part of the system integrates the management activities of the Rainbow Family. It also has the facility of report generation, Updating the website, Event calendar and much more. This web based System was developed using PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, which is a powerful server-side scripting language, and Apache as the web server. MySQL was used as the Database Management System. UML was used as a modeling language. System was developed in Water Fall Methodology. All These combination ensures a high portability to the system that developed. This developedsystem is thoroughly tested to guarantee a validated system. It was tested using so many test cases. And ensured that all outputs are satisfied. The expected goals are also being achieved.
