Title: TREATMENT AND PATIENT INFORMATION IMPROVING SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL CENTRE
Authors: Silva, A.S.P.
Issue Date: 2-Dec-2013
Abstract: With the ever growing patient base and treatment incidents in the community it was not quite possible to handle those using existing manual systems as it was a time consuming process and not much capabilities provided in analysing, comparing, etc. Treatment and Patient Information Improving System (TAPIIS) was developed for Medical Centre for the purpose of effective patient and treatment management. Medical Centre is a clinic and dispensary which is out there in the field for more than eight years with more than 500 patient turnovers per week. The expected outcome of the proposed system is to increase the successive rate of treatments (both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical) and maintain an efficient database of patient information. So it was decided to build a comprehensive system to cater all above problems with the blend of Medication and Information Technology. This would be extremely beneficial to doctors and patients as well as the entire community. The design and development process mainly focuses on structured approaches with some object oriented methodologies as well. Evolutionary prototyping will be used as the system development life cycle. The main development languages will be PHP/ MySQL/ HTML/ xHTML/ XML/ CSS/ JavaScript/ Ajax, etc. Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, WAMP Server 2.0, MySQL GUI Tools, Fusion Charts, etc. will be used as the main design and/or development tools.
