Abstract: Kumudu Trade Center is one of main store situated in Dehiattakandiya town in Eastern Province. Kumudu Trade Center mainly imports & distributes customer essential products using their vehicles. Each day they give petty cash to their members for transportation facilities, Office supplies, postal fees and essential supplies. Currently they use a manual system for log their day to day records but they can t correctly identified each month total cost for other expenses due to incomplete manual system Therefore they need a system for manage Petty Cash and view each day, monthly wise etc, what happened to petty cash amount and view information anytime whatever they need. The system has few sub systems for each user who use this system and every user has some roles and responsibilities in this system. The system has Petty Cash Book Maintenance, IOU entry, Bill Entry, Voucher Issue, Petty Cash Imprest, Approve Requests, View Requests, and various reports that can be generate to a date range. Currently the system is developing in critical areas in this system. The system is developing by Progress Language (Version - Progress 9.1D) and also use Progress for database management system in Windows Environment. In Progress Language the AppBuilder is the primary visual programming tool in the Progress ADE. All of the work of fabricating and assembling application components is done in the AppBuilder. It is a Rapid Application Development tool. The main component of AppBuilder is a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) interface layout editor.
