WEB BASED PAWN BROKING SYSTEM FOR NATIONAL SAVINGS BANK (WBPBS)

Abstract

Web Based Pawn Broking System (WBPBS) is a system for cover specialized areas in the banking institution. A Pawn Broking is a business process that offers secured loans to the people, with golden items such as jewelry items, gold biscuits used as collateral. For a pawned item, within a constant period of time the customer should purchase it back for the loan amount plus some interest. The contractual time period, and rate of interest, assessed value of the pound is governed by the law of the bank. If the loan is not paid within contract period of time, the pawned item will be offered for sale by the bank to the third party. So this is the one of the major profitable income category of the bank credit industry. Moreover the existing system is not a centralized one. So the customer has to faced difficulties when make payments. For any single transaction customer is needed to visit the relevant branch. That could avoid from that centralized system. On the other hand the pawning information is one of the succeeding factors of the bank. Since the data can make significant effect on the progress of the bank because all the management decisions and strategic plans are based on that data. It has been delayed by the existing system. So there should be a more efficient system for handling such sensitive data. So step forward it was decided to make the WBPBS which is a web based system to cover the Pawn Broking section in National Savings Bank, to avoid current critical problems. The system works as a centralized system & the collected information is very sensitive and should be securely managed. It is expected to get the maximum benefit to the bank from the system which has been developed using the open source application such as PHP with AJAX, APACHE and MYSQL.
