Abstract: The dissertation focuses on the significance of managing incomes and expenses in our vastly&#xD;
growing day by day life. Long gone are the days when you needed to take a seat with a notepad&#xD;
and a sky-high stack of bills and receipts to figure out your salary, costs, and general budgetary&#xD;
plan. Nowadays there are a wide range of spreadsheets and projects that are intended to make your&#xD;
financial planning that are meant to make a lot easier and more proficient. This study aims to&#xD;
address the complexity of tracking income and expenses by introducing budget tracking&#xD;
application developed as native mobile application using powerful cross platform library React&#xD;
Native for high performance. Based on a literature review on money management applications and&#xD;
questionnaire was conducted to potential foreign and local individuals across the Colombo.&#xD;
Analysis of responses demonstrated the difficulty of budget tracking. The result indicated the need&#xD;
of mobile solution to ease the task. Budget tracking native mobile application with interactive user&#xD;
interface and with handy features would be one of the ideal solutions for the current problem. User&#xD;
centered applications require user feedback by delivering prototype version to the real users.&#xD;
Therefore, Agile Scrum software development methodology is practiced by considering it would&#xD;
be good fit for the application requirements. Native mobile applications are known for its&#xD;
performance, reliability and user friendliness. The author has chosen React Native library in order&#xD;
to develop the proposed system. React Native is cross-platform library that enables developers to&#xD;
implement native mobile applications with advanced user interface while promising native&#xD;
performance and reliability. The mobile application is developed for two main mobile operating&#xD;
systems Android and iOS and the application will be totally free. The author believes solution will&#xD;
make positive impact on people’s day to day life by making use of the budget tracking application’s&#xD;
promising features. Further research may be needed in order to identify other factors that could&#xD;
strengthen the effectiveness of this study.</description>

Abstract: In the current society, mobile games are often used by numerous individuals. It is a well-known fact that in-app purchases are required for many gamers, in order to improve the&#xD;
gaming success and gain competitive advantage among the other players. In the&#xD;
perspective of the developers, in-app purchasing done by the gaming individuals is the&#xD;
main revenue stream, but in the developing countries including the Sri Lankan context,&#xD;
the players do not tend to purchase these, since there is no financial benefit other than&#xD;
succeeding in the game. The other reason for the reluctance of using In-app Purchases is&#xD;
that the credit card details should be provided to purchase them. This is an issue faced by&#xD;
the players by not being able to utilize the total advantages provided by the game. If these&#xD;
purchasing by the players is increased, Mobile Game Developers will be able to gain the&#xD;
opportunity to expand their market and increase their revenues.&#xD;
The solution is to use Virtual Coins instead of Actual Coins, which includes three parties&#xD;
to use the system developed by the organization i.e. the players, the game developers and&#xD;
retail distributors. The process involves a few steps. The retail distributor could assign a&#xD;
discount to the relatively low demanded products, in order to make the sales high. Instead&#xD;
of giving them the monetary discounts, the owner could purchase virtual coins from the&#xD;
portal, and assign those coins instead of the discount, which will be received by the&#xD;
customers who are registered in system. This will increase the sales of the grocery item&#xD;
rather than just giving a discount. The customers could use those coins he/she earned by&#xD;
buying a day-to-day item, to purchase the Gaming Objects (Usually provided by In-app&#xD;
Purchases). This will give the customer to use the money he spent to buy a good/service&#xD;
to purchase gaming benefits, without exposing the credit card. The game developers who&#xD;
use portal API to develop games will be gaining a revenue via the purchases done by the&#xD;
players.&#xD;
The system was developed using the programming languages PHP, HyperText Markup&#xD;
Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Javascript, C# and technologies such&#xD;
as XAMPP, MySQL, Visual Studio and Unity 3D. This system would undoubtedly be a&#xD;
unique solution facilitated to three arenas of business.</description>

Global E marketing solution is a leading classified advertising and marketing company. The&#xD;
company prepares and places advertisements on websites, weekly business newspapers, legal&#xD;
papers, magazines, and various monthly directories. They have teams to visit site locations&#xD;
and collect advertisements.&#xD;
In the current business context, human lifestyles have become more and more complex and&#xD;
complicated. People expect to have much easier, simple and productive systems that they can&#xD;
use to achieve their daily needs successfully and effectively&#xD;
This Master’s Thesis defines an implementation of a system which replaces the Global E -&#xD;
marketing solution's manual operating process. “Route-Me” is a mobile app and a web based&#xD;
system for managing vehicles and drivers easily and cost effectively. As the main users of the&#xD;
system are employees, transport manager and drivers more attention is put towards the UI&#xD;
designing. The mobile application is created with feature-rich and eye-catching to enhance&#xD;
the user experience and ease of use.&#xD;
This mobile application is developed using Android and the Web based System is developed&#xD;
using HTML, CSS, PHP and Maria DB (MySQL). This proposed solution has a mobile&#xD;
application and a web based system, which helps to find optimized routes. This solution&#xD;
consists of time windows for drivers to create routes which enable employees to cover more&#xD;
destinations while remaining on the schedule. This has mobile components for on-the-go&#xD;
updates and tracking the route. The objective of this is allowing managers and employees to&#xD;
work together and get maximum efficiency in each operation. With a subjective evaluation&#xD;
shows this mobile application and the web based system provide and idle solution</description>

      <title>Face Recognition System for Examinations</title>

Abstract: Examination or the assessment is the ultimate outcome of the education. Each and every curriculum&#xD;
must be concluded with any kind of assessment. Personal identification in the examination systems of&#xD;
Sri Lanka has been performed by getting the candidate’s identity card and check the relevant details of&#xD;
the candidate. The main issue arises in this scenario is the unique identification of each candidate. This&#xD;
is the major issue arises during the examination period faced by the examiners and their officers in&#xD;
charge of the examinations department. It is a hectic method to use the above-mentioned manual method&#xD;
in recognizing the candidates which is not applicable nowadays.&#xD;
In this dissertation it is suggested the unique identification of the candidate by a system and giving&#xD;
out the details of the candidate without performing manually. The preview image of the candidate has&#xD;
been output through the system with the candidate index number, name and any other relevant details.&#xD;
And also, the exam start time and end time will be noted at the time of recognition. The future system&#xD;
would recognize each student and produce the details such as name in full, Index number required for&#xD;
the exam. Even though they have produced their Identity cards or any other materials to prove their&#xD;
identity there is a possibility to pose a fake candidate on behalf of the real candidate. It is essential to&#xD;
recognize their identity without any failure using a bio metric pattern.&#xD;
This project was implemented as the pilot project for the examination systems in candidate face&#xD;
recognizing process, chosen St. Peter’s College Colombo 4 as the client.&#xD;
Face recognition system initially detects the candidate’s face. The detected face later trains and&#xD;
stores inside the file folder. Training process is the most crucial event in this system. If the training&#xD;
process is not successful face detection will fail to perform. During detection time the system allows the&#xD;
candidates to insert the student name and his/her index number of the examination. Finally, the candidate&#xD;
will be able to scan the face prior to the exam. If the recognition is successful, student name and index&#xD;
number will display during the recognition process and a confirmation quote ‘Your Face Recognized’&#xD;
also displays. Otherwise it displays ‘Your Face not Recognized’.&#xD;
OpenCV/Python suite is being used for developing this face recognition system. The object oriented&#xD;
and structural patterns have been used.CV2, PIL, NumPy,Pickle,OS libraries of image processing used&#xD;
in the face detection, face training and face recognition processes. SQLite is the database management&#xD;
system, stored all data of the candidates. The face recognition system developed from scratch as the&#xD;
stand-alone system in the windows environment.&#xD;
Around fifty to sixty users participated in the evaluation process. The goals of the project achieved&#xD;
successfully. According to the User evaluation feedback, implemented face recognition system for&#xD;
examinations fulfills the requirements of the examination management system in Sri Lanka.</description>
