Abstract: Dunagaha coconut producers  co-operative society Ltd (DunCoop) is a reputed co-operative society among the coconut land owners in Gampaha district. There are more than eight hundred registered members and they supply their coconuts about once in two months. At present all the transactions and functions of them are done manually and the exchange of data between the two branches is done over the telephone and by the employees. It is hard to handle a manual system for these transactions and functions. The system mainly manages three areas. They are coconut purchasing, production and sales. There are also other areas which are related to the above three functions such as employee management, member registration, order management and stock management. In addition to the above this system will cover report generating, providing relevant graphs and notifications. The system was developed according to the object oriented techniques. Unified Modeling Language (UML) was used in the analysis and design phases. Eclipse JUNO was used to implement the system in java using spring MVC (Model View Controller) framework with MySQL server in the windows environment. The project will achieve the client s functional and non-functional objectives and provide an efficient and user friendly environment. The system will help the DunCoop to improve the efficience of their transactions and functions by reducing the time and human effort and connecting the two branches to handle the work load and transfer data easily.</description>

Abstract: Dhammajothi junior school is one of a popular school in the Waddeniya area and currently the school community is more than 200 people. By year basis the community is increasing. The increment of the community makes the usage of manual system more inefficient for the administration process. As a solution to overcome those inefficiencies, it is proposed an automated administration system for Dhammajothi School. The proposed system automates most of time consumed tasks and it is included ways to cover up number of the administration processes in Dhammajothi School. The administration system overcomes some of the inefficiencies and problems related to report generation, annual time table generation, daily time table generation and financial account administration processes. It is mainly focused to keep the automated administration process with parallel to the existing paper document based system. In addition to that, by providing a school web site, it is supported to maintain continuous relationship between parents, children, and school and class teacher. The website interacted with this administration system helps parents to observe information of their child?s academic progress, attendance information and comments, and notifications via a particular user account in continuous manner. The backend of the system is based on object oriented concepts. The in-house software and website uses Visual Studio C#.Net environment with .NET 4.0 framework, SQL Server 2008 and Crystal reports. For the quality assurance process it was used actual samples of data. Therefore the accuracy of the system is highly guaranteed. The Graphical user interfaces were designed with Windows Presentation foundation. Therefore it is ensured that the user will be provided high quality and interactive interfaces to communicate with the system.</description>

Abstract: Cybergate Services is a leading offset printing company in Sri Lanka, with 10 years of experience. Even though company automated some of their business processors, most of the business processors were done manually. Manual processors raise many drawbacks in the business and affect business growth. The proposed system will automate most of the manual business processors and implement as a web based system. Quotation issuing and management, payments handling, orders management and delivery processors work will be automate as possible. System will generate reports accordingly and will help to make business decisions. System will also provide proper data recording and management. As system is web based, it will be available from any location. The web based order processing system was developed using Yii framework, which follows Model View Controller (MVC) architecture pattern and used PHP as server side scripting language along with Apache web server and support MYSQL for database. Notepad++ was used as the IDE for coding and Visual Paradigm-UML was used for diagrams designing in analysis and design. By fulfilling client requirements, the proposed system ensures that the business processors run smoothly. This helps to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency in the service.</description>

Abstract: Warehousing, being an essential component of logistics, is a key aspect of modern supply chains &amp; plays a critical role in the success or failure of business today. Therefore,  Warehouse Management Systems  are becoming a more common approach &amp; a newer business trend for most business companies stated worldwide. A  Warehouse Management System  is design for the Wickramasinghe (Pvt) Ltd. to enhance the performance of the warehouse &amp; to increases its efficiency. They suffer with a huge load of manual functions&amp; the project is designed to solve up all of these problems. The main purpose of the system is to automate stock management, purchase management, order issuing management, employee management &amp; salary calculation. This will create a centralized controllability over the warehouse. This system is going to be developed to suit standalone environment. This solution also support stock refill automation, tracking order management, user privilege management, etc. Moreover, the developed system automates the controlling of the above processes to minimize wastage, avoid misconducts &amp; increase the efficiency. The system is capable of generating various reports which facilitate decision making of the top management. The system provides search mechanisms &amp; notifications in order to enhance day-to-day activities which reduce manual effort, expands the availability of data &amp; this will support top level management to achieve their business goals &amp; future business improvements by decision making.
The development process follows the modern standard software engineering methodologies to maintain the standard of the system to guaranty the quality, security &amp; usability of the system. This windows based solution is going to be developed using technologies such as java, MYSQL, Hibernate &amp; jasper reports mainly. Also, the system follows MVC Architecture. Furthermore, the system covers new technological approaches &amp; proposes some future development activities to enhance the capability of the system. The  Warehouse Management System  has been developed to solve out the all the difficulties of the existing system to enhance the efficiency of the warehouse.</description>
