    <summary type="text">Title: An Enhanced Site for Luck Web Radio Station

Abstract: Luck Radio is a web radio station with 24 hours online radio streaming facility. Currently it has a very basic web site contains three static HTML pages and the web site owner is planning to extend its services with more features and facilities. As a result of a static web site, the web site owner and the maintenance staff is facing number of difficulties. Current web site does not have a proper database management system. The web site update and maintenance are critical because of highly coupled modules and the limitation of the web site activities are high because operational staff does not have HTML and programming knowledge. Proposed web application contains common basic functionality of an entertainment web application as well as introducing advanced features relevant to client past experiences and current trends in online web radio stations. Some of them are audio publications, video releasing, writer article publications, Hindi Zone, Sports Zone, Greeting Card section, Love Counter, Android Mobile Application etc. A user friendly administrator console has been developed for the maintenance of the web site and users have been able to enjoy the web site with several privilege levels with bundle of authorized activities like commenting, ranking and voting. The implementation of the web application has been done through Evolutionary Prototyping model and the system evolves by adding new features as they are proposed by the client and user feedbacks. The very basic components will be developed as the core web application and other external features will be added to the main web application through incremental process. The latest online radio streaming technologies have been used to develop online radio facility and suitable programming languages have been used to implement the web application. Through achieving functional and non-functional objectives of the project both client and user has been benefited. Client party has been able to explore many new opportunities with commercial advantage and the online users have been able to entertain online radio experience from all around the world.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Manufacturing and Stock Control System for Bopitiya Auto Enterprises

Abstract: Bopitiya Auto Enterprises (BAE) is a well established company manufacturing vehicle spare parts for the local market by importing the raw material from overseas. They were the President s Award winners under SME category. However their work process is managed manually and only for the stock maintenance purpose used a system but that too is not an efficient system.
Due to the rapid growth of the company, there is a difficulty to manage each and every process accurately and even more difficult to integrating them. Also they were facing problems like delay in decision making due to the unavailability of required information, inaccuracies in data entry. As such owner of the company is interested to get the maximum advantages over cost, labor, overheads, work processes, work environment, decision making, etc. by computerization of existing work/business processes.
The proposed system has been developed incorporating the Object Oriented Techniques and Unified Modeling Language used to system analysis and design.
The proposed system will fulfill all functionalities such as sales &amp; inquiry handling, order entry and order processing, raw material handling, stock maintenance and control, product (spare part) manufacturing process controlling &amp; handling, providing required operational and management reports accordingly.
The project was implemented using Visual Studio 2008 as the IDE and SQL server 2005 as the database server. Coding was done using the C# programming language and the .NET framework. Cristal report was used to report generation. In addition, Enterprise.Architect.Corporate.Edition.v7.5.850 was used to draw the UML diagrams shown in this dissertation.
The developed system has been properly tested and it assists to the users and the management to work very efficiently.</summary>

Abstract: Deshodaya Development Finance Company Ltd is the economic arm of Sarvodaya
which has named earlier as SEEDS (Sarvodaya Economic Enterprise Development
Society). Its main objective is to alleviate poverty by promoting economic
empowerment of rural people for a sustainable livelihood. Currently all transactions of
Loan management is doing using manual system. Tracking these transactions
according to time has become a crucial matter for the company.
Transactions include Application handling, Credit appraisals, Approvals, Loan
disbursement recordings, tracking of payments and loan defaults. Basically the Loan
Tracking system is supplying functionalities of Loan entry, Application entry, Credit
appraisal, Credit approval, Loan tracking, Delinquency Management for loan Defaults,
Refinance and Repayments to the funding agency and Reports regarding the
mentioned. Therefore their system is far behind the time since the delay of manual data
flow of all the functions including above where tracking default customers have been
delaying.
They required a system to keep records of all the transactions up to date and track
situation of the transactions. Therefore The Loan Tracking System was suggested.
Loan Tracking System was done using JAVA technology as a stand-alone system. A
database is maintained accordingly which has created with MySql technology. The
system is updated daily with the transactions happened in each branch by the user.
Therefore system can derive reports for the management to make decisions on
regarding.
DDFC expects to increase their productivity of the above tasks and keep their company
financial status up to date through the Loan Tracking System. There are Deshodaya
Branches and over regional Deshodaya branches in the country which are expected to
do the transaction updates efficiently. Therefore Deshodaya will be doing their
business efficiently with good time management. Also it will be strong with good
customer base since DDFC is now able to communicate with the customer with up to
date information.</summary>

Abstract: Perera Pharmacy is mainly involved in distributing pharmaceutical products in southern
area for over 20 years. The company is working as an agent for about 17 leading health
care companies in Sri Lanka such as Hemas Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Astron Ltd, and Mega
Pharma etc. More than 50 employees are employed in the company. As a growing
company they wanted to increase the efficiency of their day to day activities.
With their existing manual paper based system, it is very difficult to handle day to day
routine. Since efficiency is a must for all businesses they too intend to be efficient and
smooth. This is the reason why an idea of a computer based system came up.
The proposed system is intended to provide an IT based solution to handle their business
process in an efficient manner than before. The main goal of the proposed system is to
overcome some of major problems of existing manual system such as inefficiency and lack
of accuracy.
The proposed system is a desktop application with a rich user interface. Object oriented
techniques were used to model the system with UML (Unified Modelling Language) and
Star UML is used to draw UML diagrams. Mainly Microsoft technologies are used to
develop the system. Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 is used as the IDE with VB.NET as the
programming language. Microsoft Access 2003 is used as the back end database. Crystal
reports is used to create reports.
The ultimate goals of the system are to provide a reliable and efficient software product to
run day to day business activities of Perera Pharmacy efficiently and smoothly and make a
better working environment to their staff.</summary>
